Terms of use
Effective October 7, 2026. This is a translation; if there is any conflict, the Portuguese version prevails.
In short
- DuouD is free and helps two people build a habit together.
- Be respectful: no dangerous, offensive or illegal challenges.
- The agreed prize is a deal between you and your partner. DuouD does not charge, pay or guarantee prizes.
- The app is not a substitute for medical, nutritional or professional advice.
- You can delete your account whenever you want.
1. Acceptance
These terms are between you and Rodrigo Gonçalves, who is responsible for DuouD, and govern your use of the DuouD app, the website duoud.jods.dev and related services. By creating an account or using DuouD, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. The service
DuouD helps two people keep a habit together: you agree on a challenge, each person marks their own day and the scoreboard shows who is keeping up. The app is free and has no subscriptions, in-app purchases or ads.
3. Account and minimum age
- You sign in with a Google account and must be 13 or older. People aged 13 to 17 should use the app with the knowledge of a parent or guardian.
- You are responsible for what happens in your account and for keeping your Google account secure. If you suspect misuse, write to contact@jods.dev.
- Accounts are personal: do not use someone else's account or create accounts to impersonate anyone.
4. Rules of conduct
When using DuouD, you agree not to:
- create challenges, goals or prizes that are offensive, discriminatory, harassing, sexual, violent, or that encourage illegal or dangerous activities;
- use the app to stalk, intimidate, deceive or expose other people;
- invite people who do not want to be invited or send invites in bulk;
- try to access other people's data, bypass security rules, overload the service or exploit bugs;
- copy, resell or use DuouD for commercial purposes without permission.
If something like this happens to you, write to contact@jods.dev. You can also remove anyone who bothers you from your friends.
5. Content you create
What you write in the app (challenge titles, goals and prizes) remains yours. You allow us to store, display and process it only to run DuouD: showing it to your partner, on the invite link page and in your history. You are responsible for what you write. We may remove content that violates these terms.
6. Agreed prizes
A challenge prize (for example, "the loser buys the ice cream") is a personal agreement between you and your partner. DuouD only shows what you agreed: it does not charge, receive, pay, intermediate or guarantee any prize. Only agree on things that are legal, safe and accepted by both people. Do not use DuouD for money bets.
7. Health and safety
DuouD is a motivation tool and does not provide medical, nutritional, psychological or fitness advice. Before starting challenges involving diets, fasting, intense exercise or major routine changes, talk to a professional. Respect your limits and stop if you notice any sign of risk to your health.
8. Intellectual property
The DuouD name, brand, logo, design, texts and software belong to the person responsible for DuouD or to their licensors. You receive a personal, free, non-exclusive and revocable license to use the app under these terms. Copying, modifying, reverse engineering or distributing the app is not allowed, except where the law permits.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep DuouD running well, but it may be unstable, under maintenance or changed. We may add, change or remove features. If we decide to shut DuouD down, we will give reasonable notice so you can save what you want.
10. Suspension and termination
- You can stop using DuouD and delete your account whenever you want.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or the law, or that put other people at risk. When possible, we will tell you why.
11. Liability
DuouD is provided free of charge, as is. To the extent permitted by law, including the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code, we are not responsible for:
- agreements, prizes and deals between users;
- harm caused by challenges you choose and carry out;
- content created by other users;
- failures of third-party services (such as Google Play, Google or your internet provider) or of your device.
Nothing in these terms limits rights the law grants you that cannot be waived.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date is shown at the top of the page. Significant changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. If you keep using DuouD afterwards, the new terms apply to you; if you do not agree, you can delete your account.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Any dispute may be resolved in the courts of your place of residence, as guaranteed by the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code.
